Custom Wedding Process

So you’ve found the one! Now you need a piece that tells your love story.

Celebrating your love in a ring that is tailored to the spirit of your partner is what I strive for. There are billions of rings for purchase out there, but a ring that tells a story that’s as unique as your love is one in a billion.

Your ring is built from scratch so I'll need to know a few things before we get started.

Inquiry

It's my objective to make this ring a true reflection of your partner’s personality and your love story. I'll need inspiration to begin the design.

What you are looking for? Engagement ring, wedding band or full wedding set (engagement + fitted band).

If you want the full set eventually but only want the engagement ring for now, you may come back later for the band.

Deadline? Some folks have special engagement plans before the ring is made, custom rings can take 4 to 8 weeks depending on all the details.

What is your budget? An idea of your budget is very helpful for me to know what materials you are in the market for; example 10k vs 14k Gold or genuine diamonds vs lab diamonds.

What ring size? If you are unsure I'll take your best guess, I can send you a measurement band, or I make it a stock size. Rings can be resized later after they are given to your partner.

Detailed Request

Send me images, motifs, sketches of your ring ideas. The more details the better. It can be as minimal and traditional or as detailed and ornamental as you want.

What metal? 10/14/18 karat yellow, white, rose gold (more uncommon gold colors are available upon request) or platinum. Silver is available but not recommended .

Do you want fine gemstones, diamonds, or lab diamonds? Fine gemstones like sapphires are purchased direct from the mine and are available in any color, bi- or tri-colored.

All diamonds are GIA certified and can be sourced in any cut, color, size, and clarity. Lab diamonds are bought from a reputable dealer.

Customers have the option to see and approve gemstones and diamonds before buying.

Do you have your own gemstones to use or gold to melt down? If you have heirloom stones from family jewelry, you may incorporate them in your new ring. There will be an additional fee to extract and clean your gemstone(s). If you have heirloom gold, it can be melted down to make your new ring.

Design Approval

Once all the information is gathered for your ring and all gemstones or diamonds have been obtained, your setting will be built. Depending on what your design calls for you, will received a digital sketch, photos and videos of a hand carved wax model or 3D CAD model of what your finished ring will look like.

At this time you will approve the design or request edits that you see fit.

“The proposal went great- Clem was ecstatic with the ring and is still giddy about it even this week! I proposed on the last night of our camping trip . She enjoyed showing off the ring and its story to all of her geology colleagues. Thank you again for such a beautiful design and meaningful piece of jewelry.”
